DALJIT SINGH started Daljit Singh Partnership in 2021.

He is a very capable communicator, being able to speak in all the main languages in Malaysia (English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil), and has deep roots in Malaysia’s diverse communities.

With this unique skillset, he has been able to bridge the gap between international clients and the local legal landscape.

Daljit Singh has also been involved in giving many legal talks and interviews in Mandarin and to translate and publish our Malaysian laws into Mandarin as well. He hopes that his efforts will increase public awareness of the law, especially to communities that may not have easy access due to language barriers.

As for his credentials, Daljit Singh is a hybrid litigation lawyer practicing in both criminal and civil litigation. His experience allows him to advise his clients in a practical, solution-driven manner while also providing a wider range of legal options to resolve his clients’ disputes.

Joshua Kong

JOSHUA KONG has assisted many clients in corporate and commercial disputes involving misappropriation of funds through dishonest means, creation of fictitious transactions and other forms of fraudulent activities. His experience in regularly handling such cases has trained him to adopt an investigative and methodical approach to other litigation matters.

He has since branched out into other litigation areas such as judicial management and construction disputes, and he continues to employ the same rigorous methodology to present his clients’ cases in Court.

Joshua has also been involved in many time-sensitive injunction applications where urgent legal action is necessary to secure his clients’ legal rights.

Joel Chua

Joel graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. Upon graduation, he read in the chambers of Messrs Rishi and Partners.

His core practice involves servicing both foreign and domestic clients in civil and commercial disputes. He has assisted clients in matters such as debt recovery, breach of contract, fraud, defamation, etc. Joel also handles corporate matters such as shareholder disputes, judicial management/corporate rescue mechanisms.

Aside from courtroom battles, Joel provides corporate advisory services to his clients whereby he is frequently engaged to provide advice to clients on compliance issues and also to assist with drafting corporate and commercial agreements.

Joel also has experience in white-collar/immigration-related criminal litigation matters such as criminal breach of trust and cheating.

Alvin Tan Keng Yi

Alvin holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the Aberystwyth University, Wales and he passed the Certificate in Legal Practice examination in 2019. He underwent his pupillage with Messrs. Shook Lin & Bok and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2020.

Alvin has mainly been involved and assisted in the cases concerning tortious claim including tort of negligence and defamation, debt recovery and administration of estates. He also has experience in the area of insurance law in respect of professional indemnity insurance, he has been involved in defending solicitors sued for negligence  during the provision of services to the clients.

His diversified experience also enables him to assist clients to negotiate, review and draft commercial agreements such as service agreements.

Clara Oi Ai Leen

Clara graduated from the University of London in 2019. She began her journey in Messrs Daljit Singh Partnership as a paralegal in 2021. Clara was called to the Malaysia Bar in February 2023 and her main areas of practice include commercial litigation, debt recovery, employment dispute, general litigation as well as white collar crimes.

Outside of office, Clara is a sport enthusiast, and she enjoys exploring the beautiful creatures under the sea.
